Contemporary open plan space

Brief

To create an open plan space with 'wow' factor

What we did

"Our design opened up three small, dark rooms into one large space incorporating the kitchen, dining area and a seating area with bookshelves. It involved moving the kitchen from one side of the house to the other and creating large expanses of glazing for views to the garden.
We introduced different elements of 'wow' into the design wiht a herringbone floor, statement lighting, a kitchen with a combination of wood, neutral and forest green units and a waterfall worktop on the peninsula."

"We had a vague idea of how we wanted to re-model our house but didn’t really know where to start. We had three small, dark rooms running along the back of our house, the kitchen, family and dining rooms. Jon and Beth listened to our wish list and created a design to completely open up the back of the house. As well as knocking through, new glazing has given us better views and access to the garden and much more light. The new design moved the kitchen form one side of the house to the other, something we would not have thought of. The new design has completely changed the way we live in our home, changing it from cramped and dark to light and spacious. We love it and have no hesitation in recommending Jon and Beth."
